CELEBRATING OUR HERITAGE

Every year, the Kenyan community in the National Capital Region comes together to celebrate moments that remind us of home and bring us closer as a community. From the little ones to our elders, there’s something for everyone. Some of our biggest annual gatherings include Madaraka Day, Summer Barbeque and Jamuhuri Day.

Madaraka Day

June 1st

We gather to honour Kenya’s journey to self-governance with a vibrant community get-together filled with food, music, and cultural pride.

Summer BBQ

August

Our much-anticipated August BBQ is a family-friendly social where we reconnect, welcome newcomers, and enjoy good vibes under the summer sun whether rain or shine.

Jamuhuri Day

December 12th

Marking Kenya’s independence, this celebration brings us together to reflect and rejoice.
