We didn’t start this work—we’re simply continuing it. This community has grown through the dedication, vision, and quiet sacrifice of many who came before us. To everyone who has helped carry this torch over the years: thank you. We honour your efforts and are proud to build on the strong foundation you laid.

About Us

This is your all-heart, volunteer crew: nine proud Kenyans who (somehow!) agreed to take on the task of keeping our community connected, celebrated, and informed. We were elected in August 2024, and our term runs until 2026.

Don’t let the titles fool you—we’re truly all hands on deck. We do whatever needs to be done, often with a cup of chai in hand and a to-do list that keeps growing. Behind every event you attend are hours (and hours) of back-and-forth messages, looooong planning calls over virtual chai, and last-minute problem-solving. And yes, sometimes we even forget to eat at the events.

We handle a bit of everything: planning events, answering late-night WhatsApp messages, shopping for the BBQ, booking venues, and exploring new ways to keep this community vibrant and engaged. You name it—we’ve probably had a meeting about it. That said, we don’t know it all, so we always welcome new ideas and honest feedback.

We may be volunteers, but we take this work seriously because we care deeply about this community. And we’re always looking for others who want to jump in and help make things happen.
